This Privacy Policy explains how Far Shore Media, LLC (“Far Shore Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit elpinerofilm.com (the “Site”), the website for our short film El Pinero.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Email address, if you sign up for our email updates through the form on this Site (powered by our email provider, Kit).
- Name, email address, and message content, if you contact us directly — for example, by emailing elpinerofilm@gmail.com, submitting a casting inquiry, or reaching out about a sponsorship or partnership.
- Audition or casting materials (such as a self-tape, headshot, résumé, or written responses), if you submit them for consideration for a role in the film.
We do not collect payment card information ourselves. If you make a donation through the “Donate” link on this Site, that transaction is handled entirely by PayPal and by our fiscal sponsor, From the Heart Productions — see Section 4 below.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the Site’s hosting and security providers automatically log some technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This Site is hosted on GitHub Pages and delivered through Cloudflare, and this basic log information is collected by those providers as part of operating and securing the Site. We use this information only in aggregate, to understand how the Site is used and to keep it running securely; we do not use it to individually identify visitors.
Information from embedded third-party services
Some pages on this Site embed content or forms from other companies, each of which may collect information according to its own privacy policy, independently of us:
- YouTube / Google, for embedded video content
- Kit, for the email signup form
- PayPal, for donation processing
We encourage you to review those companies’ own privacy policies if you have questions about how they handle your information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Send you updates about El Pinero, if you’ve signed up for our email list
- Respond to inquiries, casting submissions, and sponsorship or partnership requests
- Evaluate and follow up on audition materials
- Understand and improve how people use the Site
- Comply with applicable law
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and Tracking
This Site does not run its own analytics or advertising trackers. However, some of the embedded third-party services described in Section 1 — particularly YouTube video embeds — may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser as part of their own operation, governed by their own policies. Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, may also use limited technical cookies to protect the Site from abuse.
Do Not Track: This Site does not currently respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and its behavior is the same whether or not such a signal is present. Third-party services embedded on the Site may independently honor Do Not Track signals under their own policies.
4. Donations and Our Fiscal Sponsor
El Pinero is a fiscally sponsored project of From the Heart Productions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. When you donate through the PayPal link on this Site, your donation and any information you provide during that transaction (such as your name, email, and payment details) are collected and processed by PayPal and by From the Heart Productions, not by Far Shore Media, LLC directly. That information is handled under PayPal’s and From the Heart Productions’ own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
If you qualify for a donor-tier item (such as a sticker set or care package), we may receive your name, email, and mailing address from PayPal or From the Heart Productions solely to fulfill that item, and we’ll use it only for that purpose.
5. How We Share Information
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Site and the project (Kit, PayPal, From the Heart Productions, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare), each acting under its own policies
- If required to by law, subpoena, or other legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Far Shore Media, LLC, our collaborators, or others
6. Your Choices
- Email list: every email from us includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at elpinerofilm@gmail.com to be removed.
- General requests: you can email elpinerofilm@gmail.com at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request that we delete it. We’ll do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, even where a particular privacy law’s formal rights may not technically apply to a project our size.
- California residents: consistent with the California Online Privacy Protection Act, you may contact us at the email above with any questions about our privacy practices.
7. Children’s Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
8. Data Retention & Security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. We take reasonable measures to protect information in our control, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. International Visitors
This Site and its operator are based in the United States, and information you provide may be processed and stored in the United States. If you’re visiting from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data protection laws than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
